February 2007 Newsletter

I cannot believe it is already 2007, and early February at that. Time truly does pass too quickly. We start the New Year thanking you all for 2006. In fact, last year was our most successful ever. It was phenomenal from many aspects. First we experienced extreme revenue growth. Second, we brought on new and exciting enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to expand our product offerings. Third, we expanded considerably, our consulting capabilities. Given our financial success, investment in new, higher level, ERPs, and increase in our consulting reach, we are well positioned to serve you in 2007. We are looking forward to it.

Throughout 2006, we continued with several large new ERP implementations and client upgrades and training, coupled with normal software expansions where our client implements additional features of a package they already own. Collectively it was a very busy and productive year.

Domain has added SAP Business One to our ERP offerings. SAP, the largest provider of software in the world, traditionally targeted the largest corporations (Fortune 500) in the world. In fact, they pretty much own that space. Now, SAP is bringing their ERP experience into the small to midsize enterprise (SME) market space, which is the market space Domain is in. Domain became a SAP partner to serve clients and prospects that are manufacturers (particularly in the food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries), distributors, and providers of professional services. See below to learn more about SAP Business One.

We are extremely pleased to announce a new member to our consulting team, Susan Hawkins. Susan gained extensive ERP experience while working for AT&T, and Agere. While at Agere, Susan managed large multinational Oracle implementations. We are happy she is onboard with Domain and are confident you will enjoy working with her.

We have a second powerful new team member as well, Ali Jenan. We will feature Ali in next month’s newsletter. Note this, our firm is noted by the caliber of our consultants. We know this, and we are committed to developing the best overall consulting team in the area.

Domain’s infrastructure practice continues to grow rapidly. This group, managed by Larry Goncea, MCSE, is involved in larger and more sophisticated projects, as well as the support of small established networks. More and more frequently, we are called in to decipher a confusing and less than optimal network design, in some cases outdated. The team analyzes it, improves it, and standardizes it. By standardizing the implementations we support, we are able to drive down the total cost of ownership for our clients. We are able to manage the infrastructure more efficiently because it is not unique. Just as in the medical profession, we are more intimate with our client’s environment when we are working with them on an ongoing basis. This allows us to stay current with their environment, and be more effective when we recommend changes.

Our most successful client engagements are those that we work with monthly. To save our clients money, we offer service agreements. These agreements save our clients money, and they receive priority support. If you are not currently under a service agreement with Domain, and think you may benefit from one, please give us a call.

Domain maintains a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and we always have. As we all know, claiming quality is one thing, delivering quality is another. To ensure that we are actually delivering on this commitment we do several things. First, it all starts with the hiring process. The consultants considered and employed by Domain are educated, trained, and experienced in their respective areas. Each Domain consultant holds a bachelors degree in a computer or computer related field. Second, each of us is constantly engaged in a related training program. Most of our software publishers (products we sell) require certifications. Therefore training and testing is also an ongoing activity. Improving our consulting skills never stops.

Not only is our team educated, trained, certified, and experienced, Domain also focuses on quality of delivery. Our mantra is to treat our clients as if we are in the hospitality industry. Think Disney, think Marriott. Like theirs, our goal is to make the complete customer experience positive from the initial phone call, or visit, through to sales and support. That is our goal and all our people operate within this framework.

That being said, if ever you feel Domain is not living up to the expected level of quality and service, please call or email me immediately, and we will do our absolute best to resolve the issue(s). We want you to be a customer for life. For that to happen, we must perform. We know that, and we accept the challenge.

Once again, thank you for our continued success. We look forward to working with you throughout 2007.

Happy New Year and here we go again.
